Leaving for Italy

Posted at 10 pm on April 2, 2008 under Uncategorized.

Time to leave for Italy.  I’m packed and ready to go.

I will be at the CHI conference in Florence to be a student volunteer and also to present my work-in-progress poster. Here’s the full abstract.

Also a good friend of mine, who’s an artist, sketched me up and I’ve included it in a 1 page flier.  It’s pretty awesome.  He also has a sketch of me as a dinosaur…

Anyways, I’ll be updating daily with fun pictures and whatnot over the next 10 days.  Keep an eye on this space.

  1. The resemblance is uncanny! Although, I guess I always thought of you more as an herbivore.

But really, stick those funny little glasses and that hair on anything and you’ve got your Bernie.

Hope you are having fun in Italy.

The State Geography Bee was amazing. I had to say “Ngorongoro” “bumiptura” “sheikh muszaphar shukor” along with “tegucigalpa” to name a few….to a billion anxious parents and petrified middle schoolers. Wehew…that was some pressure to not screw up.

Were you able to actually pronounce the words correctly… .I don’t even know where to begin with tegucigalpa….

Anyways, having fun in Italy…. I’m loaded on only 1 cup of coffee…. which actually turned out to be a large cup of espresso…. WOOOOOOHOOOOO….
